Try applying a compatibility tweak to the application using the right click on file then Properties > Compatibility or Troubleshoot compatibility. Select an inferior version of Windows 8 and the installer should start working. Additionally, download the new player from the official website because the one you have might be outdated.
Access a FreeRide game on the official website and click on Play Without Ads button then re-download the game player and make sure you have all the necessary items installed: DirectX, Adobe Flash Player, Net Framework, Visual Runtime.
